Police Exhume Mohbad’s Body as Investigation into His Mysterious Death Intensifies

The Lagos State Police Command has successfully exhumed the body of the singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad. An autopsy will follow the exhumation process. Mohbad’s recent death has led to suspicions, with allegations directed at Afeez Fashola, professionally known as Naira Marley, who owns the Marlian Record Label.

Additionally, there have been disputes among distant relatives concerning his estate following his demise. Many Nigerians have questioned the swift burial in Ikorodu, Lagos, immediately after his death, but his father explained it as a Yoruba family custom. Nigerian youths have staged peaceful protests to demand justice for him.

Both the Nigeria police and Lagos police command are committed to investigating his death, with the involvement of the Department of State Service (DSS) as requested by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. On Thursday morning, Lagos police spokesperson Ben Hundeyin confirmed the completion of the exhumation, and the autopsy will now commence.
